Ugly Betty

We have a very sweet new addition to our flock. She is a 4 week old cinnamon pearl cockatiel. The poor thing has been severely plucked by her mother. We bought her for $20. Her head is completely bear. No feathers on her back, belly or under her wings. The only feathers she has are her wing and tail feathers. Her nose was plugged up, and she had to breath through her mouth. We are hoping her feathers will regrow. I'm also hoping she don't become a plucker. I named her Ugly Betty.

Shes very scared of us but has taken small nibbles of hand feed formula. I give her millett and birdbread later today after her next handfeeding.
